The people that veer off the path that the Time-Keepers created are called, Variants. This can be from starting an uprising, or someone were just late for work. Whatever it was, stepping off the path that was supposed to happen has now created a new path called, a Nexus Event, which left unchecked, could branch into madness, leading to another multiverses war.
Actions that variants have done has left them without a place on the timeline and must stand trial for their offenses or be pruned.
